 | The performance of Anton Dvorak’s Carnival Overture accompanied by the rarely performed romantic Roman Carnival Overture by Hector Berlioz, brought smiles to many faces. This concert featured the winds section performing the classical gem, Carnaval, by Thomas Stone with guest conductor Allan Halbert.Dr. Mark Perlman, Associate Conductor, joined the symphony with costumes and quips as the narrator of Saint-Saëns beloved “Carnival of the Animals”. Two piano soloists by Dianne Davies and May Wong along with a variety of musicians provided a musical snapshot of various animals for children of all ages.
