SYMPHONY Showcase

Jeannie Ceciliani
Showcase Moderator

Jeannie was raised in a family- owned entertainment business located in Portland, Oregon, and began singing and acting at a young age. At 17 she joined the New Oregon Singers, traveling worldwide for over 15 years. She also spent several years singing in multiple USO tours. She sings now at a varitety of special events and teaches ukulele. Volunteering for the Hillsboro Symphony Orchestra, American Diabetes Associaiton, various animal shelters and care giving for the eldery also keeps her busy.

The Symphony Showcase began as an opportunity to focus on the musical interests of the audience youth.  With each fifteen minute segment, beginning at 7:40 p.m., showcasing a specific instrument and the musician who plays it.  This has now turned into an opportunity for the whole family as the education, experience and instrument facts have satisfied the curiosity of all in attendance.

JACK ADAMS
Showcase Founder

“My goal is to try and give them something special and pertinent to look and listen for; something that can enhance their enjoyment
of the music.”

ORCHESTRA MEMBERS

Our orchestra consists of dedicated members who graciously give of their time and talents. While primarily an adult group, HSO does have a significant contingent of student members from area Hillsboro high schools. Members receive no compensation but take great pride in knowing they are enriching the lives of their community by exposing them to a wonderful culture of music.
